All this pulls you in completely.

There is a lot of hidden humour in Big Fish. There are a number of funny juxtapositions and on-camera hyperboles to emphasize the fairytale-like nature of the story. This is done completely without ridicule, creating a beautiful atmosphere throughout the film. This is further aided by lovely music and sound effects and by beautiful colours throughout the film. The film is pure pleasure to watch.
