Films to see

As a sequel, Despicable Me 2 has a lot to live up to. It does a decent job at it, although it will always only be a sequel.

This film works on similar levels as its predecessor, with parody at its heart. However, apart from new absurd seemingly cliché characters typical for the first film of the series, it doesn't add anything new. It is still a very funny film to watch, and it, too, features delightful music.

High expectations are the burden of a sequel of an excellent film, but this shouldn't discourage you from watching Despicable Me 2. You will still have a lot of fun, as it's still a much better family film than many other ones out there.
