Paddington

Paddington is a family film with a stellar cast. It is funny, relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable. It is mainly aimed at kids but there is enough going on to satisfy older viewers as well.

The film works very well. It has a solid structure and uses foreshadowing to link plot elements together, as it should be. Adults might find the plot a little predictable; however, this doesn't impact the film's enjoyability, and there is something refreshing about a simple straight-forward plot that doesn't overcomplicate things unlike so many other children's films these days. It's perhaps this element together with the film's peaceful nature that makes Paddington suitable even for very young viewers. The film manages to handle potentially non-peaceful topics (natural disasters, racism, and arguably also death) and make them not just child-friendly, but also educational.

Paddington is an excellent film for the whole family that shouldn't disappoint anyone. It is filled with humour and promotes kindness and friendliness.
